Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their busy team on a 6-month FTC basis
Duties include;
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees on a monthly basis, from start to finish, including bacs payments.
- Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, wage calculations, and deductions, checking and completing manual calculations.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, labour regulations, and company policies.
- Handle payroll queries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and accounting.
- Prepare reports related to payroll costs, taxes, and other financial metrics.
- Manage year-end processes, including issuing P60s, P45s, and other statutory documents.
- Administer employee benefits programs, such as pensions, health insurance, and wellness schemes.
- Enrol new employees in benefit plans and explain options.
- Maintain benefits records and ensure data accuracy.
- Liaise with benefit providers to manage claims, changes, and renewals.
- Support open enrolment periods and communicate changes to staff.
- Ensure compliance with benefit-related legislation (e.g., auto-enrolment, GDPR).
- Assist with audits and reporting related to benefits.
You will have;
- Strong payroll processing experience from start to finish, including FPS
- Strong payroll legislation knowledge and ability to complete manual calculations for SMP & SSP
- Ideally CIPP qualified
- Use of an HR integrated payroll system like Midland i-Trent, Oracle, Resourcelink or SAP
- Benefits experience, including maintaining, updating and renewals and negotiating with providers
