Southwold Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Midday Supervisor to join our teamSouthwold Primary School & Early Years’ Centre is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our team of busy Midday Supervisors. The successful candidate will be committed, friendly, be adaptable to the needs of each child and be an excellent communicator. You will be expected to show an interest in the children you are supervising, helping them to develop socially, following the school discipline policy and code of conduct. We expect you to be reliable, punctual and show a commitment to our children and school. We offer a happy working environment with well-behaved children and a welcoming school community. We will provide all training, as required.Principal duties and responsibilities:To control queues to the dining areasTo encourage dining arrangements that promotes an orderly and pleasant meals service for pupils.To ensure that any spillage is removed quickly
To see that the dining areas are left clean and tidy and tables are clean for the next occupant
To supervise the return of used crockery and cutlery
To wipe trays where necessary.
To deal with pupils’ behaviour problems in the dining room and elsewhere and report any serious incidents to the Senior Midday Supervisor.
To deal with accidents and any sickness and report them to the Senior Midday Supervisor.To supervise pupils in the outdoor playgroundTo encourage safe playPlease apply by completing the application form and submitting a covering letter. Salary: Grade B Please note: Nottingham City Council pay the National Living Wage Hours of work: 7.50 hours per week, term time only. Interview date: Thursday 9th October
