Senior Healthcare Assistant – Day Shifts | Full-Time | £14.40 per hour

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join its dedicated team in a welcoming, homely residential care home for older adults. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality care, lead by example, and support both residents and colleagues in a professional yet nurturing environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or above).
  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant (ideally with supervisory or senior-level responsibilities).
  • Strong understanding of older adults’ care, including dementia awareness.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care, supporting residents with daily living, dignity, and independence.
  • Lead and mentor care staff, ensuring high standards of care and teamwork.
  • Administer and record medications in line with policies and procedures (training provided if required).
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate care plans, observations, and documentation.
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control standards.
