An Independent Specialist Day School in Coombe Down, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEN Teacher to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they reach their full potential in an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of SEN students, in line with the national curriculum and the school's SEN policies
- Assess, monitor, and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues, including other teachers, teaching assistants, and the SEN Coordinator (SENCo), to develop and implement effective support strategies and interventions
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, well-being, and personal growth
- Participate in the development and review of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and attend annual reviews as required
- Keep accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour, and use this information to inform teaching practices and support strategies
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest SEN teaching methodologies, resources, and best practices
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and colleagues, promoting open communication and a collaborative approach to SEN support

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK
- Proven experience teaching students with special educational needs in a primary or secondary school setting
- In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum and SEN Code of Practice
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Proficiency in using technology to support teaching and learning
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

A competitive salary range of £36,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications is on offer. The school is located in the picturesque area of Coombe Down, Bath, with postcode BA2 7AE, offering an attractive working environment and excellent transport links.
