Have an understanding of pupils with SEN and a holistic understanding of child development.
Be reliable and flexible.

Be able to act on their own initiative.
Be able to carry out a speech and language programme under the guidance of the Speech and Language Therapist.
Be able to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
Be confident to liaise with staff, parents and other professionals.
Have a professional attitude and understand the need for confidentiality.
Have high expectations for children’s learning and behaviour.

The school is committed to offering training and support through the Inclusion Leader in this challenging but rewarding job. We believe that Inclusion starts with warm and trusting relationships between adults and children.
The school seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, patient and caring Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for a Part Time position of 15.5 hours per week. The position is to support some of our youngest children in our 2-year-old Room in Nursery.
