Salary: Starting Salary is £26,824 (Level one) rising to £27,694 (Level 3) per annum ‘pro rata for part-time’

About the Role

Working within the City Councils organisational values and strategic aims, relevant legislative frameworks and the services’ policies and procedures, the post-holder will be responsible for the provision of administrative and clerical support to the strategic development of safeguarding practice within Nottingham City Council Safeguarding Partnerships Service, including the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children & Adults Boards and other functions.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Responsible for the co-ordination and administration of the schools safeguarding training programme, with responsibility for the timetabling, arrangement and booking of sessions.
  • Responsible for the support to multi agency meetings, including the preparation and circulation of agendas, minutes, reports and other information along with organisation of venues and attendance. This role includes the taking of accurate minutes in a range of meetings.
  • To act as a point of contact for Local Authority Schools, dealing with safeguarding enquiries, managing bookings for training and providing safeguarding information as appropriate.
  • To perform a proactive and positive communication function on behalf of Local Authority schools and the Boards, including taking responsibility for developing and maintaining the Schools Extranet and Board websites and assisting in the production of newsletters/ leaflets and training materials.
  • To maintain paper and computerised information recording systems, databases and procedures and assist with the production of reports, statistics and other management information.
  • To be involved in induction of colleagues and new members of the Boards and inform them of administrative arrangements.
  • A DBS basic check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
