Driver Hire Edinburgh City is seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver for flour delivery work across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. This is an ad-hoc role, ideal for those looking for flexible shifts with the potential for extra work on other contracts.
Pay Rates:
With holiday pay included: £15.69/hr (basic) | £20.91/hr (overtime)
With holiday pay accrued separately: £14.00/hr (basic) | £18.66/hr (overtime)
Your Duties Will Include:
Driving a Class 2 vehicle to deliver flour to bakeries and wholesale customers
Working alongside a driver’s mate – manual handling and heavy lifting involved
Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
Maintaining a safe, courteous, and professional approach on the road and on-site
✅ What We’re Looking For:
A valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence, held for at least 12 months
Up-to-date CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
A good level of physical fitness – the job involves regular lifting
A positive, flexible, and can-do attitude
