This school is seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and flexible Caretaker to join their busy and dedicated Facilities team. This team plays a vital role in the daily life of the school, ensuring the site remains safe, clean, and fully operational for both school and community use.
About the roleThis is a varied and hands-on position where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for:
- Locking up the school and overseeing evening lettings.
- Carrying out minor maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensuring the site is clean, safe, and compliant with Health and Safety regulations.
- Supervising and coordinating the team of cleaners.
- Supporting external activities and events held on evenings and Saturdays.
- Covering wider shift patterns due to staff absences and school holidays.
Person Specification
- A reliable team player with a proactive attitude.
- Practical maintenance skills and a good eye for detail.
- Understanding of Health and Safety standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs.
- Experience in site management or caretaking.
