St Edmund’s College is seeking a creative and motivated Communications Officer to join our Communications Office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how the College shares its story, engages with its community, and promotes its brand across a range of channels.
Job responsibilities
Working closely with the Senior Communications Manager, you will:
Plan, create, and schedule engaging digital content for the website, social media, newsletters, and other channels.
Manage and update the College website and social platforms, ensuring a consistent and professional online presence.
Support the development of a new intranet and contribute to digital campaigns and marketing activities.
Produce digital content including blogs, photography, videography, and design materials.
Monitor analytics and performance, providing insights to improve future campaigns.
Assist with media enquiries and contribute to the overall communications strategy.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential Criteria
Proven experience in digital communications/marketing, including managing websites, social media, and content calendars.
Skilled in creating engaging written, visual, audio, and video content; confident with editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut desirable).
Experience running and optimising paid campaigns (e.g. Meta, LinkedIn).
Strong copywriting, storytelling, and design skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident using CMS (WordPress desirable), CRMs, scheduling/analytics tools, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and email marketing.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
Qualifications
CIM or equivalent in communications/marketing (desirable).
