Parkdale Residential Care Home, Auchterarder
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Care Officer to work within Parkdale Care Home, a service for older people providing permanent and respite care.
As a Social Care Officer you will have the opportunity to put the residents care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. Promoting independence, dignity and quality of life at all times in a person centred caring and supportive environment.
Duties will also include assisting with daily activities, providing residents with both physical and emotional support and personal care as needed.

Skills & Experience Required
We require a truly caring people with a good sense of humour who can build and maintain a good rapport with the residents and their families of those in your care.
This is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy going that extra mile and who are friendly and enthusiastic about caring for others and can lead by example. A genuine interest in the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people is essential.
There is no entry requirement however you will be required to work towards one practice qualification requirement as below.
• Required and supported to work towards SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 6 (was SVQ2)
• Any qualification in the practitioner category.
• Any practice qualification in the supervisor category.

This role requires you to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), if you are not yet registered, you can still apply, as long as you are willing to apply for registration within 3 months of starting with us and be registered within 6 months.
