Pay rate: £14.13 to £14.84 per hour PAYE
Role length: Anticipated 6 months
Working arrangements: Office based
Additional requirement: This role is subject to Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 2 security clearance
The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Pay & Conditions Team as a full time Payroll Administrator delivering a high-quality payroll service to the Council and a range of external clients.
You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of cost effective, timely services to ensure the needs of internal and external customers are met.
Strong end to end payroll background for a large employer is essential for this role.
Key responsibilities:
Processing payroll payments accurately and efficiently
Handling pay-related queries via the ContactUs helpline
Providing advice and guidance on terms and conditions of employment
What the client is looking for:
Excellent organisational skills to allow you to prioritise workloads and ensure service levels are maintained.
Relevant administrative payroll experience
Good understanding and knowledge of payroll processes to ensure compliance regarding the regulations
Ability to ensure payrolls are accurate and meet statutory requirements and processed within the monthly deadlines
Technically proficient and confident working with payroll systems
An excellent communicator with a strong focus on customer service
Able to cope under pressure and manage competing demands and checking information to ensure our payrolls are accurate
