Contract: Permanent, Full time, Term Time Only
Pay Grade: Mainscale 1-6/ Upper pay scale 1-3 TLR1b (£12,520)
Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum
We are looking for a Head of Department (English) to start January 2026 to raise standards of student attainment, achievement and progress within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress; to be accountable for student progress and development within the subject area; to develop and enhance the curriculum implementation and pedagogical development of others; to ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum for students studying in the subject of English area, in accordance with the aims of the academy and the curricular policies determined by the DHT i/c of Curriculum and Pedagogy; to be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area, and to effectively manage and deploy teaching, support staff, financial and physical resources within the Subject area to support the development Plan.
