Crynodeb
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Network Manager to lead IT operations at St John the Baptist School (SJB) in Woking. SJB is a vibrant, high-performing Catholic secondary school and sixth form, and forms part of the Xavier Catholic Education Trust (XCET).
This is a pivotal role in delivering outstanding IT support to the school, while actively contributing to the successful implementation of the Trust’s wider digital strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Trust’s Central Operations Team, helping to shape and maintain a robust, secure, and future-ready IT environment.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant IT support role, 2 of which in a management position.A proven track record of delivering high-quality technical support.
Excellent customer-facing skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
The ability to think on their feet and adapt to changing demands.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking, with a willingness to be hands-on.
Experience in motivating and organising teams to deliver efficient IT services.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between Trust schools may be required).
A commitment to safeguarding, with suitability confirmed through DBS checks and recruitment procedures.The role is based at SJB in Woking and is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
In return, the role offers 26 days of annual leave (increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service) plus bank holidays.Salary: £36,873 - £39,820 per annum Closing Date: 18th September 2025 Interviews: w/c 22nd September 2025 at SJB.
