Purchase Ledger Clerk (Temp to Perm)

Hours: Part-Time, 12-16 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Pattern: Office-based, flexible start times to accommodate school runs

About the Role:


Search are recruiting for a well established construction business based in Batley, currently seeking a reliable and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a part-time, temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and is looking for flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Match purchase orders and delivery notes to invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare payment runs and maintain up-to-date records
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
  • Support month-end processes and reporting

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience with SAP is desirable but not essential
  • Confident using Excel and accounting systems
  • A proactive approach and ability to adapt quickly
