Finance Assistant - Hybrid Working

Are you looking to build your career in finance within a supportive and inclusive organisation? My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their growing team. About the Role

As Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day finance operations, and contributing to process improvements. You'll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth financial work-flows and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain financial systems, including the Penair accounting platform
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Process client payments via bank transfer, card, and other methods
  • Respond to supplier queries and ensure prompt resolution
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Monitor cash flow and support financial planning
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide financial insights
  • Contribute to system and process improvements
  • Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks and finance projects
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in finance or administration, ideally within the travel industry, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident using financial systems and general software
  • Organised, enthusiastic, and customer-focused
