Shape the Future of Army Recruitment!

Join us at the heart of Army recruitment, where we're recruiting tomorrow's Army today.

We're looking for a Team Leader to join our vibrant team at the National Recruitment Centre (NRC). Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead a dedicated group of Administrators and Candidate Support Managers, driving performance and ensuring a seamless recruitment experience.

Full-time, permanent role - 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid working - split between our Upavon, Wiltshire office and your home

What you'll be doing

lead with impact - manage and inspire a team of up to 15 Candidate Support Managers and Administrators, taking full ownership of their performance and driving plans that deliver real results
set the standard - establish clear, achievable goals and behavioural expectations, regularly review progress, and tackle performance challenges with confidence and care - including delivering meaningful appraisals
empower and energise - foster an inclusive team culture where development is encouraged, and success - both individual and collective - is celebrated
keep things running smoothly - oversee and refine processes to ensure everything is on track and operating efficiently
stay connected - participate in regular Manager meetings to share insights, align on goals, and contribute to continuous improvement

What we're looking for

Essential Skills:

• proven leadership or people management experience
• proactive and self-motivated, with a natural drive to get things done
• excellent communicator, confident in both verbal and written interactions
• comfortable taking the lead and using initiative to solve problems and drive progress
• resilient and determined, with a strong sense of purpose
• adaptable and open to change in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills:

• understanding of Army Careers adds valuable context
