Avanti Fields School is seeking a Receptionist (Morning hours) to provide a warm and professional first point of contact for our school community.
The role offers a varied mix of reception, administrative, and clerical responsibilities, alongside supporting pupil welfare and wider school operations.
We are looking for someone who is approachable, well-organised, and able to work with both staff and families in a professional and supportive manner.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming team and play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our school.

Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.

What will you do?
• Provide reception services including answering calls, greeting visitors, and managing enquiries.
• Deliver routine clerical and administrative support, such as photocopying, filing, record-keeping, and mail distribution.
• Support pupil welfare by administering basic first aid, assisting with medical needs, and liaising with parents and staff.
• Manage office resources and routine financial tasks, including operating equipment, storing supplies, and recording payments.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and contribute positively to the school’s ethos and professional environment.
What are we looking for?
• Experience of general clerical /administrative work
• Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Effective use of ICT packages and keyboard skills
• Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy and pay attention todetail
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within theschool
