Quantity Surveyor - Planned Maintenance (Social Housing)
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team, working on planned maintenance works within the social housing sector. You'll be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of compliance and quality across various maintenance programmes, including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, M&E, and external refurbishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of planned maintenance contracts.

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documents.

  • Monitor project progress and control costs to ensure projects remain within budget.

  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and carry out valuations.

  • Work closely with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Prepare and negotiate final accounts.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and contractual obligations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing and/or planned maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (RICS membership desirable).

  • Full UK driving licence
