Summary
Position 1: Health Care Assistant (HCA)
Pay: £12.86 per hour
Schedule: Day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
About the Role:
As a Health Care Assistant at Horizon Care Plus Ltd, you’ll play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to vulnerable adults within our day centre and outreach services. Your contribution supports service users in maintaining dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Support clients with personal care, mobility, meals, and medication prompts
Assist in daily routines and encourage participation in planned activities
Monitor and report changes in service users’ physical or emotional condition
Follow individual care plans and uphold safeguarding protocols
Work collaboratively with other care staff and families
Requirements:
Previous experience in care (preferred but not essential)
A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work toward it)
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
Position 2: Day Centre Activity Coordinator
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Schedule: Day shifts, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking a creative, organised, and caring individual to coordinate and deliver engaging daily activities at our Peterborough day centre. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older adults and those with mild learning or physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and run stimulating activities (e.g., arts & crafts, music, gentle exercise, games, outings)
Encourage social interaction, inclusion, and participation
Personalise activity plans based on individual preferences and abilities
Collaborate with care staff to integrate wellbeing goals into daily routines
Maintain attendance records and evaluate the impact of activities
Requirements:
Experience working with vulnerable adults or in a care/day centre environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning varied activities
Ability to adapt activities to suit a wide range of needs
Basic IT and record-keeping skills
DBS check required
