Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Play Worker to join our team in providing high-quality play and leisure activities for children in a fun and safe environment. As a Play Worker, you will have the exciting opportunity to engage with children of varying ages, facilitating their play experiences while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with children, encouraging their social, physical, and emotional development through creative play solutions and activities tailored to their needs. This role is essential in promoting inclusivity and fostering a sense of community among children from diverse backgrounds. As a Play Worker, you'll be responsible for creating stimulating environments that inspire imagination and creativity, empowering children to explore and express themselves. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for working with children, an understanding of their developmental needs, and a commitment to enhancing their play experiences. Responsibilities
Facilitate engaging and inclusive play activities for children of various age groups.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment, supervising children at all times.
Plan and organize a range of play opportunities that promote creativity and physical activity.
Encourage children's social interaction and help develop interpersonal skills.
Collaborate with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to support children's needs and well-being.
Implement and comply with health and safety policies and procedures in all activities.
Monitor the development of children in your care, providing feedback to parents and staff.
Requirements
Minimum qualification of a Level 2 Playwork qualification or equivalent.
Experience working with children in a play or educational setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
Ability to create and implement engaging play activities tailored to various age groups.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
First Aid and CPR certification is a plus and may be required.
A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Start Time: 15:00
End Time: 19:00
Pay Per Hour: £15.82
Location: Southwark, South East London
