Crynodeb
Injury Compensation Branch provides information to various stakeholders including pay and pension projections based on Army career information and / or Defence statistics to assist MoD Claims handlers, MoD Solicitors and other stakeholders to assist value and defend civil cases of personal injury. The Injury Compensation Team leader will line manage the team and assume wider LM responsibilities as required. You will obtain and examine requests for career forecasts and witness statements, analyse related data and when appropriate briefing the chain of command.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing of all correspondence concerning Personal Injury Compensation Claims from solicitors including Government Legal Department, Crown Solicitor, contracted MoD solicitors and Directorate of Judicial Engagement Policy and its claims handler contractor (TopMark).
Process of correspondence received in respect of Criminal Injury Compensation and Third Party Compensation Cases involving serving and former members of the Army.
Examining and analysing pay and pension records policies and legislation to enable accurate financial projections.
Producing and analysing relevant data to identify trends, inform future planning and mitigating actions.
Attending stakeholder and functional forums to understand anticipated activities and trends which likely affect personal injury claims.
Electronic filing via SharePoint and ensure electronic and hard copy records are retained / reviewed in accordance with MoD and HQ MS retention Policies.
Acting as the Branch Point of Contact for continuous improvement, lessons, the sharing of best practice and the delivery of change within the branch.
Prepared to undertake any other tasks reasonable for the grade and within the competence and ability of the job holder as requested by the line manager.
