• A good standard of education e.g. GCSE Grade C or above in Maths & English or equivalent or relevant school experience

• An ability to work methodically and accurately with specific emphasis on handling confidential and sensitive information with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
• A welcoming style to working with junior aged pupils, their families and a wide range of staff.
• A willingness to learn, attend training and be a First Aider

Further details about the role

We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly organised, resourceful and excellent communicator to join our front reception team to support school operations.We are a large single status academy junior school with around 570 pupils on role. therefore the ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a very demanding and dynamic environment are essential skills within this role.

In this busy and varied role, you will be the first point of contact for pupils, school staff, parents/carers and external visitors on a daily basis both face-to-face and on the phone. You will be maintaining and accessing information within our management information system SIMS, as well as supporting the wider school including pupil wellbeing, welfare and the administration of medicines when required.

With experience of working in education administration and providing a high level of customer service, you’ll enjoy working with children and supporting the wider community. Experience of using SIMS and Parentmail will be an advantage, however training will be given.
