About the Role
We're looking for a full-time Secondary Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training to support students with Autism, ADHD and SEMH at a leading special school in Oldham.
Start: ASAP in September 2025
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Long-term, with potential to go permanent
Pay: £100-£120/day DOE (Paid PAYE only - no umbrella companies!)
Equal Pay: Matched to permanent staff after 13 weeks
Free CPD: Access to The National College & Creative Education platforms
New DBS Refund: Full refund after 20 days of work ✅
Support: Dedicated consultant with over 13 years local experience to guide you throughout

What You'll Be Doing
• Supporting students aged 11-16 with Autism, ADHD & SEMH
• Using Team Teach strategies to de-escalate and manage behaviour positively
• Helping create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, families & external professionals
• Supporting emotional regulation, communication & independence
• Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately

What You'll Need
• Team Teach certificate (in date)
• CV with 10-year work history
• Right to Work, ID & proof of address
• DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Professional references covering the last 2 years
• Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
• Experience working with SEN and challenging behaviour
• Positivity, resilience, empathy & a proactive attitude
