Crynodeb
Minehead Eye is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting young people and communities across rural West Somerset. Our mission is to ensure that those affected by rural isolation have access to the same opportunities for personal growth, development, and support that are often more readily available in urban areas. We achieve this by providing subsidised access to activities and services, funded through grants and other sources, and by connecting young people and their families to wider services and opportunities that can help them thrive.
In our centre, we house a skatepark, café, climbing wall, bouldering cave, music rooms and room hire spaces. We run after-school clubs, birthday parties, music events, skate sessions, toddler groups, activity sessions, as well private events. Beyond the centre, we deliver rural youth clubs, outreach projects, wellbeing support, counselling, and maintain strong partnerships with schools, health professionals, and other organisations.
Here’s the thing - we’re not great at shouting about what we do. That’s where you come in! We need someone to help us share our stories, through social media, blogs, newsletters, reports and communications with partner organisations.
