Summary
Personal care assistant required for young female
Our client is looking for a personal assistant to support their daughter, who requires support accessing the community, as well as with some personal care and PEG feeding. She has Trisomy 9 Mosaic, Dandy-Walker Syndrome and developmental delay. She is also non-verbal but can communicate using gestures and vocalisation. Our client’s daughter has some mobility limitations, and uses a walker to support with this.
Due to the provision of intimate care, our client has the right to request a carer of a specific sex. This vacancy is restricted for women only.
The successful candidates should be safety-oriented, engaging and bubbly. Experience desired, but not essential.
Our client’s daughter is a happy child who enjoys being around others and thrives with interaction and attention. She enjoys going to the park, going for walks, music, singing, feeding ducks at the park and loves dogs.
The role is 3 hours per week term time and 6 hours per week school holidays, paid at £12.21ph. The hours are to be worked outside of school hours, but specifics are to be negotiated with our client. The role is based in Scunthorpe.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which we will fund.
If you would like to apply please email a copy of your CV to gboardman@hull-cvs.co.uk and quote the reference 015
