Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in the classroom? We're seeking a dedicated KS3 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students aged 11-14, helping them thrive academically and socially.
Your new role
- Provide in-class support to KS3 students across a range of subjects
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Deliver targeted interventions to small groups or individual pupils
- Support students with additional needs, promoting inclusion and engagement
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with secondary-aged children (KS3 preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) desirable
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
