Your new company
We are working with a fantastic secondary school who are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team in September. This role involves working across all year groups to provide tailored, one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Your new role
- Deliver personalised support to SEND students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
- Support students in both classroom and small group settings.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with SEND students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) are an advantage.
