Engineering Manager

Location: Milton Keynes
Reports to: Head of Engineering (Region)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Are you a hands-on engineering leader ready to make a real impact in a chilled food manufacturing environment? We're seeking an
Engineering Manager to lead the operational delivery of our Asset Care function at our newly repurposed Milton Keynes site,
ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance across all equipment.

As a key member of the site senior leadership team, you’ll drive engineering excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement,
supporting production targets and business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

* Lead engineering activities in line with site and group standards, capital priorities, and the Asset Care Performance Model.
* Ensure engineering ownership of Health and Safety, food safety, quality, and hygienic design compliance.
* Promote a safety-first culture, maintaining statutory and S,H & E compliance across all engineering operations.
* Drive asset reliability, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Manage engineering budgets, contractor spend, and spares inventory efficiently.
* Develop and coach your team, building capability and fostering a high-performing team and enviable culture.
* Maintain audit readiness and ensure governance standards are met across all engineering functions.

Requirements:

* HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Proven leadership experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in chilled food or FMCG.
* Strong knowledge of CMMS, maintenance planning, asset reliability, and capital project delivery.
* Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with financial awareness to manage costs and investments.
* IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification is desirable.
