Summary


Are you a dynamic and visionary leader with a passion for shaping the future of Allied health professional practice? We are seeking a Head of AHPs to join our senior leadership team, driving transformation, innovation, and excellence across the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity as we transition into a new Clinical Group structure and align with the NHS 10-year health plan, which prioritises community-based and preventative care.

The Local Care Organisation (LCO) serves the diverse communities of Manchester and Trafford. As an integrated care division, the LCO work across health and social care to deliver safe and effective services in partnership with primary care, local authorities, hospitals, the voluntary sector, and beyond.

The role provides strategic leadership across our six AHP professions within community services, covering a wide range of clinical services including urgent care, scheduled care, and children’s services. We are dedicated to workforce development, offering clinical support and career development at various stages, and have established AHP ACPs.

As a pivotal member of our triumvirate leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care through strategic and operational leadership of our nursing and AHP workforce. Your expertise will guide workforce planning, quality improvement, and professional development, ensuring we meet regulatory care standards and deliver outstanding outcomes for our service users

Provide strong, visible professional leadership to AHPs across community services.

Develop and implement strategies to improve care delivered in community setting.

Lead on the delivery of AHP objectives set by the Director of Nursing.

Collaborate with system partners to improve community services .

Ensure high standards of care and patient experience through innovative and dynamic leadership.
