Student Success Coach
Full time, 35 hours per week
Fixed term for a period of three years
Grade 6 (£32,080 - £37,694)

Abertay is a modern university with a global outlook, rooted in its local and national communities. We have made our mark with high quality, well-directed teaching and research, and a stimulating and enriching experience for our students.

The Abertay Learning Enhancement (AbLE) Academy serves as a home of institutional innovation. Our work spans staff and student development activities. AbLE coordinates and delivers several staff development opportunities to support the enhancement of teaching and learning activities to improve the student experience. AbLE coordinates a wide range of transitions, student development activities and opportunities. We do this by working in partnership with students and the Abertay Students' Association. These student development activities range from supporting and enhancing transitions and first year experience through the delivery of MySuccess modules to skills development opportunities through the Year 2 microcredentials. Our students as partners approach to student development is demonstrated through our activities where a range of projects and student voice initiatives are co-created and delivered.

The University now seeks to appoint a Student Success Coach. This role will support the implementation of the Abertay+ Scheme, a 3-year project funded by the Robertson Trust.

Reporting to the Lecturer in Academic Practice, you will deliver support for under-represented students. Through targeted coaching and integrated support, the scheme helps students achieve their academic and social goals. By addressing individual challenges such as poverty and trauma, the scheme builds student agency, capacity, confidence, skills and self-care, ensuring students are well-equipped to succeed.

The role requires a student-centred, enthusiastic and passionate individual with a clear commitment and focus to enabling student success.

If you believe you have the skills and experience for this exciting and challenging role, please submit your application through our online recruitment system, which can be found at https://www.abertay.ac.uk/discover/work-here/jobs/

Please note that we will only accept applications through our online recruitment system.
