Join Our Team – Keep Our Spaces Safe and Well-Maintained
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team and ensure that our facilities remain safe, comfortable, and in excellent condition for our residents and staff. Based in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas, this is a full-time role ideal for someone hands-on, organised, and passionate about quality property upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out general repairs and maintenance across premises, including basic plumbing, joinery, electrics, decorating, flooring, and external areas.
Perform routine compliance checks: fire alarms, emergency lighting, PAT testing, legionella/water temperature checks, etc.
Respond to and log maintenance requests; escalate major issues to management where needed.
Maintain accurate records and issue logs in line with company procedures.
Support induction/training to other staff and promote health and safety best practices, including confidentiality.
Provide out-of-hours support for emergencies.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a general maintenance role; experience in a care home or similar setting is highly desirable.
Practical knowledge of plumbing, electrics, joinery, and decorating.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Strong communication skills, with a friendly and professional approach to residents and staff.
Ability to keep clear records and use basic IT systems.
Enhanced DBS clearance required (we’ll cover the cost).
