Site Manager - Social Housing

Location: Croydon


Rate: £300 per day


Contract: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in social housing to oversee planned works, retrofit, and decarbonisation projects in Croydon. This role is ideal for someone who has delivered projects within occupied housing environments and can confidently lead teams while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and resident care.

The Role

  • Manage day-to-day site operations on social housing planned maintenance, retrofit, and decarb schemes

  • Supervise operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to specification

  • Carry out site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting

  • Coordinate with contract managers, project managers, and client representatives

  • Ensure all works meet health & safety, compliance, and social housing regulations

  • Maintain strong communication with residents and stakeholders throughout delivery

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing - essential

  • Strong background delivering planned works, retrofit, and decarbonisation projects

  • Knowledge of health & safety compliance and regulations

  • Ability to manage operatives, subcontractors, and multiple work streams effectively

  • Excellent communication skills, especially when working in occupied properties

  • SMSTS or equivalent safety qualification preferred
