We’re seeking a well-organised, enthusiastic team player to join our grants team as a Grant Support Officer.

This in an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a role which helps sup-port community activity across Wales. It’s also a chance for anyone with a supportive and common-sense approach to put their skills to good use helping WCVA (Wales Council for Voluntary Action) carry out its purpose – to enable voluntary organisations in Wales to make a bigger difference together.

Full time, 35 hours per week, flexibly

£27,101 rising to £32,323 per annum. The starting salary will be £27,101 with pro-gress through the salary range linked to successful completion of probation period and our performance review process. The post will also attract a contribution of 9% of an-nual salary to WCVA’s approved pension scheme.

Base: At WCVA, we embrace hybrid and flexible working. With staff working flexibly all across Wales and you'll have the option to work remotely (including from home) or at our office hubs located in Aberystwyth and Cardiff, and across North Wales hiring small community spaces to bring staff together. Occasional attendance at our offices will be necessary for specific staff events and work engagements.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our friendly grants team. As part of the role you will work with a diverse range of voluntary organisations across Wales, sup-porting them to deliver fantastic projects.
The role is perfect for someone who is looking for a busy but varied role. If you enjoy working as part of a team and have great time management skills, this rewarding role will give you the opportunity to use your own initiative.
Some of your main duties will include:
• Speaking with potential grant applicants to determine how we may be able to support their activity
• Working as part of a team to complete assessments on grant applications
• Supporting a portfolio of organisations, with a flexible approach to ensure pro-jects deliver
You will also have opportunities to work with other WCVA teams and funders.
