We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join an innovative team. In this vital role, you'll provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide in-class support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including those with physical, learning, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
  • Work closely with the class Teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in an educational setting is essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Attributes: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of every child.
  • Qualifications: A relevant Teaching assistant qualification or a degree in a related field is highly desirable.
  • Commitment: A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
