National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) is a leading professional trade association dedicated to advancing safety, technical excellence, and best practices within the access and scaffolding industry. With a commitment to enhancing the industry's standards and fostering the development of its professionals, NASC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of construction projects across the country. Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) is the UK industry recognised scaffolders training scheme. The scheme has over 60,000 card holders in the UK and over 20,000 card holders overseas. Direction and administration of CISRS is the responsibility of NASC.

Role Overview:
The role is to ensure the overall smooth running of the CISRS accreditation and to be the first level of customer service of the CISRS training centres. The role works closely with:

The Head of Finance & Operations to ensure the integrity of the quality of centres and the outcome of learning by centre customers, through full use of existing NASC database systems and participating in the ongoing digitisation project.
The Head of Training & Education to feedback continuous improvements and management information to support informed and critical strategic and tactical delivery of CISRS.
Auditors in the CISRS Compliance Team to keep the CISRS centres accreditations up to date and ensure the highest level of training standards to CISRS Card Holders.


Key Responsibilities

Operational management of CISRS centre audits

Maintain audit calendar for both national and international centres
Book audit dates with centres and auditors.
Arrange travel in accordance with NASC policies.
Create correct and timely invoices& follow up payments.
Following audit, mage audit records and issue relevant certification.
Maintenance of CISRS training centre records

Amend CISRS records to show additional course accreditations.
Ensure that centre details are shown correctly on the CISRS web site.
Develop and maintain the CISRS dashboard providing statistical information on the CISRS centres, number of trainees / apprentices and their employment status.
Maintenance of CISRS instructor records

Receive and review centre applications for new or existing instructor upgrades
Update instructor records
Processing of new training centre enquiries and applications

Receive new centre applications and review.
Arrange pre-accreditation visits.
Arrange full audits with auditor and centre.
Upon accreditation update the card provider (NOCN) and update CISRS records.
Ensure that centre details are shown correctly on the CISRS web site.
Administration of proprietary​course materials

Interim management of printed course material
Process orders and liaise with printing house to dispatch materials (pending implementation of an automated process)
Generate invoices and follow up payments.
Manage overarching printer relationship and maintain accurate stock levels.
Make updated course material available to training centres via the CISRS online portal
Oversee and approve CISRS card holder appeals

Managing the CISRS card holder appeal process operated by the CISRS Executive
Establish and manage processes and rules to ensure a smooth running of the appeal processes, delegating approval to the CISRS Executive and having an escalation process to the CISRS manager as appropriate.
General

Line management of the CISRS Executive.
To attend such events as needed in support of CISRS in line with the role.
To undertake such tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of NASC and CISRS.
Support the marketing of CISRS through the provision of information to the marketing function.
Support the Head of Training & Education with management information and operational details of CISRS.

Key Skills and Experience
Essential:

Proven experience administrative and people management experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise.
Ability to organise and monitor database information systems.
Desirable:

Knowledge and experience of working within quality management systems, such as ISO9001
Experience in working with Sage

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time on-site role. Following successful completion of the first 6 months’ probation period, flexible working arrangements may be considered in line with NASC policy.
