Job OverviewWe are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all planned and reactive maintenance activities that are carried out by our third-party subcontractors. You'll act as the central point of contact, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow from initial request to job completion.
Main DutiesPlanned Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive schedule for all planned maintenance tasks across site, ensuring all contractual obligations and regulatory requirements are met.Reactive Maintenance: Log, triage, and assign urgent reactive maintenance jobs to the appropriate subcontractors, ensuring timely response and resolution.Subcontractor Management: Act as the primary liaison between Mitie and our subcontracted partners. This involves issuing work orders, tracking progress, and verifying job completion to Mitie's high standards.Work Order Management: Utilise our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage all work orders, ensuring accurate data entry, clear task descriptions, and timely updates.Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams (e.g., contract managers, helpdesk), clients, and subcontractors to provide updates on job status and resolve any issues.Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations, client-specific protocols, and Mitie's operational procedures.
What we are looking forProven experience in a maintenance planning, scheduling, or coordination role.Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance processes.Proficiency with CMMS or similar scheduling software.Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.A solid understanding of health and safety in a facilities management environment.
