We are recruiting for a key member of our leadership team - Head of Strategy and Governance. The successful candidate will help us to share our vision and energy to deliver services in new and innovative ways.
We are looking for an innovative strategic leader who is able to foster relationships to bring the best results for South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture.
The role is responsible for strategy and governance, ensuring resources are aligned appropriately to aid the smooth operation of the organisation.
We are looking for a candidate with outstanding people management skills and a proven ability to lead in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrable track record of success in a corporate or public sector setting, with experience spanning strategic planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery. A strong understanding of how to align organisational resources to deliver high-quality, innovative services to diverse communities is essential.

Provide an example of your experience in supporting or advising a Board or governance body such as public sector, local authority or charity and detail how you’ve ensured effective governance, compliance, and decision-making through your contributions.
Please evidence when you developed and implemented a strategy that balanced organisational priorities with the needs of key stakeholders (e.g. local authority, funders, or community). Describe your role, the challenges faced, and outcomes you achieved.
