We require an exceptional Head of Children and Justice Services who will also have the Chief Social Work Officer role, to continue our commitment to transform and develop services to meet the current and future needs, expectations and preferences of our children and young people.

A degree in Social Work is essential and a degree level qualification in management and/or Post Graduate Chief Social Work Officer Award would be preferred. If you do not hold the CSWO award there will be a requirement that you will undertake this with support from the organisation upon appointment. The successful applicant must be registered or gain registration with SSSC prior to taking up post.

Describe the main achievements of your career to date. Detail how your experiences have equipped you to undertake the post of Head of Children and Justice within Social Work Resources. Please include knowledge of developing a service to encompass best value and service improvement, highlighting key issues and challenges you have faced and describe how you addressed these.
How would you see and undertake your role as Chief Social Work Officer in relation to the Health and Social Care partnership, including Community Partners and planning. How would you promote social work values and practice across all social work services?
Please demonstrate your understanding of responsibilities in the strategic development and operational management of a large organisational department. Include how you would ensure your managers and their teams effectively deliver transformation and change programmes.
As Head of Service you will have responsibility for a significant number of employees. What skills and abilities do you consider to be necessary to be an effective manager and how would you describe your leadership style.
As Head of Children and Justice Services how would you ensure that children have positives outcomes and in particular that they are effectively protected from harm.
