Are you a visionary leader ready to shape the voice and reputation of one of Scotland’s most ambitious councils?

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing & Communications to lead our strategic communications, destination marketing, and major events. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and sitting on the Corporate Management Team, this is a high-profile role with real influence across the organisation and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

  • Champion Renfrewshire’s identity as a top place to live, visit, and invest.
  • Lead corporate communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and employee communications.
  • Act as the Council’s lead spokesperson, shaping public affairs and crisis communications.
  • Drive innovative marketing strategies and sector-leading engagement practices.
  • Inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-performing, customer-focused services.

  • Expertise in strategic communications, destination branding, and stakeholder engagement.
