Role length: Anticipated 3 months



The role:

We are currently seeking a skilled Contract and Procurement Lawyer to join the team on a rolling three-month contract, with strong potential for extension beyond the end of the year.



Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice on contract and procurement matters
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
Prepare and deliver presentations
Demonstrate strong litigation and trial expertise, effectively advocating on behalf of clients with confidence and professionalism in court proceedings
Offer general legal guidance relating to contract law, as instructed
Support internal stakeholders with procurement and legal compliance issues



Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor, Lawyer or Barrister
Demonstrable experience in contract and procurement law
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage a complex caseload effectively and efficiently
Strong litigation and trial experience, with the ability to advocate confidently in court
A strong, effective communicator with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and persuasively
Demonstrated experience in document production and preparing high-quality presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Proficient in MS Office and legal technology tools
An accurate, detail-oriented approach to legal work and case management
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically in challenging situations
