About the Role
We’re currently recruiting a Female Waking Nights Support Worker to work within the people we supports own homes in South Shields.
Working in this role you would need to be resilient, have an open mind, and have a non-judgmental approach, so this would appeal to people who share a real interest in Mental Health.
You’ll provide overnight support, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort for the people we support. Every night is different, and you’ll play a key role in supporting a variety of needs, helping individuals feel secure and cared for.
Within this service you will be supporting a gentleman within his own home.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be supporting service users in their own homes in the local community, and assisting people with;
aily living tasks which may include attending meetings and appointments
Supporting with medication, routines, and health-related task
Light domestic duties and maintaining and support maintaining their tenancy
Responding promptly and professionally to any needs during the night
Supporting with meal preperation
Supporting with any community treatment order requirements
Communicating effectively with families and professionals
Promoting independence and dignity in everything you do
