About the Role

We’re currently recruiting a Female Waking Nights Support Worker for our respite short-break service on Bisley Drive, South Shields. The service supports adults with learning disabilities in a warm, welcoming 7-bedroom home environment.

You’ll provide overnight support, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of our guests. Every night is different, and you’ll play a key role in supporting a variety of needs, helping individuals feel secure and cared for.


What You’ll Be Doing



Providing personal care and emotional reassurance


Supporting with medication, routines, and health-related tasks


Light domestic duties and maintaining a calm night-time environment


Responding promptly and professionally to any needs during the night


Communicating effectively with families and professionals


Promoting independence and dignity in everything you do



Staffing levels vary depending on individual needs of guests each night.
