A Vacancy at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
In order to cover parental leave we are looking for a dynamic individual to work within a service committed to improving the health and wellbeing of frail and or older people. The Community Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS) provides rapid access to a multidisciplinary team comprising of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists for primarily frail and/or elderly patients with a strong focus on providing high quality care for people with frailty.
We are looking for a senior physiotherapist to provide assessments and treatment plans for patients attending Thame and Marlow CATS. They will also support the developing Marlow CATS Rehabilitation Service.
This is a great opportunity to work alongside GPs with a special interest in elderly care and Falls Specialist physiotherapists enabling clinical development in frailty and in falls prevention.
We are looking for someone who can work 3 full days (22.5 hours) or more (up to 27 hours)
The successful candidate will provide physiotherapy assessments within the clinics in Thame and Marlow as part of either Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments or Nursing and Therapy led Multifactorial falls Assessments.
They will also provide indirect supervision for the rehabilitation support worker in Marlow CATS Rehab Service.
The services run from 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel effectively and independently on a daily basis to and from the base, clients’ homes and other venues around the geographical area. If necessary, adjustments can be considered, in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act.
