About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Highways Programme Coordinator to join our Highway Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a high-performing project team delivering vital highway maintenance and neighbourhood improvement schemes across Nottingham City.

As the Highways Programme Coordinator, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects. You'll support the effective management of projects by providing clear direction, updates, and coordination to colleagues, elected Members, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of highway maintenance and improvement schemes.
  • Act as a central point of contact for project updates and stakeholder engagement.
  • Review project systems and governance, identifying opportunities for service improvement.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and accurate, timely project reporting.
  • Lead on communication and engagement with residents, businesses, and community groups.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to track progress and support effective project management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong project coordination experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of reviewing and improving processes or systems.
