Job Purpose: A Social Care opportunity has become available as a Personal Assistant. You would be supporting a lady who lives in the Norwich area with shopping, and social activities.
Location: Norwich, Cathedral area.
Details:
- Social activities – Cinema, arts & crafts, meals out (loves tea and cake), and going to the arcades
- Shopping when necessary - loves shopping in Primark.
The lady has epilepsy and suffers from occasional focal seizures, which lasts a minute or so and can make her feel confused and nauseous. Having knowledge and or experience with seizures would be beneficial, but no essential.
She can be very shy when you first meet her but is bubbly and bright once she gets to know you. She loves her cat, planning events, getting her nails done, listening to Abba, one direction and other music bands. She does not like people shouting, yappy dogs, and having seizures.

Summary terms and conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour
- Hours and times of work: up to 6 hours per week over the weekends.
- Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- Access to free training for employed workers.
- If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.
The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
