Job Title: Level 2 Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant 12 months fixed-term
Salary Scale: Main pay scale
Responsible To: Headteacher/Governors
Responsible For: Year 2 children working within the class
Hours: 24 hours (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
The Headteacher and Governors would like to appoint a patient, kind and proactive teaching assistant with experience to join our happy, friendly school.
Our school mission statement is ‘Work hard, dream big and never give up’. We hold very high expectations of our children and staff and believe that everyone, regardless of ability, can achieve; we recognise that this can look very different for different children.
The successful applicant may be required to support children in our Year 2 class.
Professional development is prioritised at our school and the successful candidate will receive training to support their role in school.

JOB PURPOSE
The successful candidate will:
- Be an exemplary practitioner, with excellent feedback from other professionals

- Contribute to constructive team building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors.
- Deliver inspiring activities for children which are inclusive and exciting.
- Be resilient and have a range of strategies to manage behaviour in young children.
- Participate and share in the responsibility for the safeguarding, well-being and behaviour of all the pupils.
