I am looking to recruit a personal assistant for my father. He has young onset Alzheimer's and is in his late 50’s. I am ideally looking for someone to support my father with meal preparation at lunch and dinner, walking and keeping him socially active and providing company. My father does not need support with washing/ dressing etc. He loves animals and we would welcome a personal assistant with a dog as he loves joining for dog walks. My father is a Land Rover enthusiast and former member of the RAF. He has traveled a lot and loves nature and the outdoors. Sadly he is unable to drive anymore and can no longer go for long walks independently as he can lose his way. He is physically fit, however gets tired quite quickly. He will need a PA experienced in caring for people with Alzeimers. He needs someone who is calm, caring and patient when he speaks as he suffers form word loss. The times of the day can be flexible and I am happy to discuss conditions of employment.
