Job Title: Resident Civil Site Engineer (HVDC Convertor Station)
Location: Ipswich
Contract Type: Contract - Ltd
Contract Length: 4+ months

Our client is looking for an experienced Resident Civil Site Engineer with Strong Background within T&D projects including HV Substation, HVDC Convertor Station builds or similar project scope of Power works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the site team, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Maintain accurate site records, including as-built data, quality documentation, and daily progress reports
  • Conduct surveys and ensure compliance with design tolerances and standards
  • Act as Document Controller for all Civil drawings.
  • Assist with Constructability reviews with Civil site team & raise Technical Queries (T.Q's)
  • Assist Civil site team with obtaining quotes & raising orders.
  • Complete As Built drawings
  • Checks the possibilities for technical realization regarding the requirements.
  • Oversee dimensions elements, components or software by calculation or by their specification according to the requirements and, if necessary, documents the required technical proofs.
  • Acts as a specialized know-how owner for a technical discipline.
  • May cooperate with specialists of other disciplines or faculties, may coordinate technical interfaces.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience working on HV Substation, HVDC Convertor Station new build projects or similar project scope of Power works.
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Good understanding of drawings, technical specifications, and CAD software
  • Full UK driving licence
