Summary
Job Title: Resident Civil Site Engineer (HVDC Convertor Station)
Location: Ipswich
Contract Type: Contract - Ltd
Contract Length: 4+ months
Our client is looking for an experienced Resident Civil Site Engineer with Strong Background within T&D projects including HV Substation, HVDC Convertor Station builds or similar project scope of Power works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to the site team, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Maintain accurate site records, including as-built data, quality documentation, and daily progress reports
- Conduct surveys and ensure compliance with design tolerances and standards
- Act as Document Controller for all Civil drawings.
- Assist with Constructability reviews with Civil site team & raise Technical Queries (T.Q's)
- Assist Civil site team with obtaining quotes & raising orders.
- Complete As Built drawings
- Checks the possibilities for technical realization regarding the requirements.
- Oversee dimensions elements, components or software by calculation or by their specification according to the requirements and, if necessary, documents the required technical proofs.
- Acts as a specialized know-how owner for a technical discipline.
- May cooperate with specialists of other disciplines or faculties, may coordinate technical interfaces.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience working on HV Substation, HVDC Convertor Station new build projects or similar project scope of Power works.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Good understanding of drawings, technical specifications, and CAD software
- Full UK driving licence
