This HR Business Partner role sits within the Strategic Command People Directorate within the HR Business Partnering Team and you will report directly to Grade 7 HR Business Partners within the team. You will support the Grade 7s and may partner yourself directly with Directors, Deputy Directors and Workforce Advisors across Strategic Command to partner in the implementation of people strategies. You will be responsible for forging productive relationships with senior leadership teams and sub-organisation (Higher Level Budget) People Teams within UKStratCom, enabling the translation of business priorities and strategy into a coherent people agenda with targeted interventions. Working alongside your Grade 7 and business area(s) you will deliver tailored HR interventions to drive improvements in effective leadership, people management, organisational design and development, change management and workforce strategy. You will support the implementation of change across major programmes including the management of people risks.
You will act as a trusted advisor, critical friend and an agent for change in a busy and demanding environment. You will be an effective communicator who can engage stakeholders at various levels. You will have a working awareness of employment law as it applies to individuals and business and can apply it alongside internal policies and processes to influence and identify unique and creative problem solving solutions, working within a variety of policies and processes in a unique and challenging environment. You will be able to demonstrate effective leadership and coaching skills to support a variety of change management projects/programmes and stakeholders which can, at times, be emotive so an understanding of individual and business engagement would be beneficial. You will use your analytical skills to interpret and analyse data to inform and commission HR interventions to support your business areas to meet the outputs of their Strategic People Plan. You will identify and support business leaders to provide relevant, timely and suitable talent management and succession plans to ensure business continuity within their workforce. You will also have a working awareness of other business functions: finance, procurement, commercial and risk management to support your work on a daily basis.
Please note, candidates will be redirected to the Civil Service Jobs website where you will need to submit your application form.
